‘Foreign Bodies’ highlights the desire of longing for the way things were, as well as wanting to move on from previous relationships. As our daily lives amount to being full of doubt and regret over decisions from our past, the song also has a sense of optimism for the future which is something we can all relate to during this worldwide pandemic. The metaphorical foreign bodies of the title allude to the things we keep consuming throughout our lives in an attempt to avoid the truths we sometimes need to face about ourselves and each other.
